Later on, when I studied Herbs … the SAME damn thing happened again.
Everyone would say ‘what about marijuana as a medicine?’ Nooooooooo!
Now just to get the story straight – As herbalists Medical Marihuana is way out of our reach legally. Its mainstream medicine now Doctors only prescription.
So you can see coming from that back ground… I had a BIG story about the Hydroponics shop at Fyshwick ACT.

That it was a hangout for long haired denizens of the drug underworld and that just going there would put you on the POLICE watch list.
Well, how wrong can I be. I challenged myself to visit the shop. What did I find?
The most AMAZING RANGE of horticultural products I have seen in a long time. It was so good I visited twice and left with a shitake mushroom growing kit in one hand and a bag of premium potting mix in other.
Yes, there is some’ happy herb’ growing, also a lot of serious orchid growers, Bonsai growers and indoor plant and hydroponic growers, all plant enthusiasts who love the shop and were regular customers.
A lot of Serious Growers visit there
Here is the funny bit. Talking to one of the staff I fessed up about my ‘story’ about the shop. Darren said that they dealt with that same story all the time. People assuming it was this illicit outpost of drug addled degenerates. Not at all.
These people take their plant growing seriously. Very Seriously.
SO serious they have actually form companies to make specialty potting mixes for this activity and a range of nutrients plus the whole Hydroponic scene. Not to mention the indoor growing set ups, lights, tents, climate control, Pots, fertilisers, nutrients on and on…
Its serious top end stuff.

I’m as keen to grow my medicinal herbs as they are to grow their Dope. We actually have something in common. How about that?
